Dr. Mitchell completed her medical school degree at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas and moved to Los Angeles to complete her residency training at LAC+USC County Hospital. She serves patients in the private practice setting at Verdugo Hills in Glendale as well as the USC Downtown LA clinic. She also teaches & supervises residents at LAC+USC County Hospital. Her academic and research interests include increasing the recruitment and retention of underrepresented providers and addressing healthcare disparities that exist among Ob/Gyn. She serves as faculty chair of the OB/GYN Diversity & Inclusion Committee targeted towards these efforts. She also has a passion for using virtual platforms and social media as a means to provide evidence based patient education about topics within Ob/Gyn. She provides care for pregnant patients in addition to patients seeking routine GYN care and surgery.
